Iceland Says Goodbye to an Icon

It's a sad day when this happens

This week the country of Iceland lost the last three McDonalds left in the country. The owners say it was just too expensive to make a profit on the burger after the fall of the Krona (Iceland's form of currency).

The current price for a Big Mac in Iceland retails for 650 krona ($5.29). But the 20 percent increase needed to make a decent profit would have pushed that to 780 krona ($6.36), the franchise owner said.

It's a sad day in the global economy when a great country like Iceland loses a national treasure. I hope the five remaining Pancho's Mexican Food Buffets can make it.
